What is this treatment?
Emergency dental care starts with finding the cause of the problem.
We may examine the tooth, test the bite, take a digital X-ray, control pain or infection, and provide temporary or final treatment.
Your comfort matters
We know urgent dental problems can be frightening.
We will explain what we see, focus on making you comfortable, and discuss your choices before treatment.
What to expect
Call or text and describe the problem
We ask about pain, swelling, injury, and your health
The dentist examines the area and may take an X-ray
We explain the safest next step
Treatment may be temporary first, depending on the problem

CBCT may be used when a 3D view is needed.
Helpful Tips
For a knocked-out permanent tooth, hold it by the crown, not the root, and keep it moist in milk or a tooth-preservation product
For a cracked tooth, rinse gently with warm water and use a cold compress on the face
For a toothache, rinse and gently floss; do not place aspirin on the gum
Save any crown, filling, or broken tooth piece and bring it with you
Call before arriving so we can prepare
You may be wondering...
Do you take walk-ins?
Please call or text first. Same-day care depends on the schedule and the type of emergency.
Should I go to the emergency room?
Call 911 or go to the emergency department for trouble breathing, severe swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or major face or jaw trauma.
What should I do with a knocked-out adult tooth?
Keep it moist, do not scrub the root, and call a dentist right away. Fast care gives the tooth the best chance.
Can a broken tooth wait?
Some small chips can wait, but pain, bleeding, swelling, or a sharp deep break should be checked quickly.
Will you fix everything at the first visit?
Sometimes. Other problems need a temporary step first, followed by a planned visit.
